End of a season

This morning finds me in a very creative mood and seeing the end of swim season in sight. The girls both swim today and then we will be finished. Kirk and I are both proud of them for making top 40 in the county. I will not miss being consumed running the team behind the scenes...in fact I'm not sure what I will do with all of my free time! :))) Maybe a little scrapping and cardmaking? Off to get to work and hopefully post some creations.

Father's Day

Wow, what a day! Woke up to rain and steam. Very muggy outside so it was a good day to be inside. Listened to a great sermon on Jacob, a character from our family album. Hard to find a family today that is not dsyfuncial...but we still love and support each other.

Ate lunch at Compadres near the Drive Stadium. Best taco salad I've had in awhile. Kirk didn't care for his burrito. After lunch it was off to the Greenville Little Theater for "Carousal". Enjoyed the show. Couldn't believe I have never seen it performed before.

Shared dinner with our German neighbors and boy was it good! Even had pudding from Germany....yummy.

Spoke with my father and got in trouble for not sending a card which I knew was coming. I handled that well until he asked me about my run-in with the police. The little girl came out in me and I didn't want to tell him what happened...thanks Jane for telling on me :) I've shared the funny story with many others but was afraid of my own father! Once I told him I was not arrested he laughed with me about the whole situation. Letterboxing is starting to get me into too much trouble.

Happy Father's Day to all.
Here is one of my creations for my fabulous father who is also a great fisherman. I used the Greeting Farm stamp with Copic markers.

Afternoon musings

Well, the swim meet this morning went well. The little guppies are so cute and want to try so hard. I remember when my girls were like that. Kelsey did get up and go with me. Glad to be in the water as it was already quite warm out at 9 in the morning.

Walked home and was accosted by Jordan. She gave me an earful about waking her up in the mornings. Always on the phone or yelling into the computer screen when talking via skype. I guess she is turning into a teenager. I did offer Kelsey a Coke for her getting up and told Jordan too bad...this was her reply, "I don't want one because it makes your insides rot!"

Thanks goes out to Kelsey for finding this cute page. She is my computer guru.

Now off to shower and get ready to host a dinner party.

First Day

Welcome to my blog! This is something I have been meaning to do and never got around to. I want to post daily, my thoughts, trials, inspirations and projects. I seem to be losing too much of my everyday happenings as time continues to fly by me. I welcome you to join me on my journey to learning more about ourselves and what makes us tick.

Now, I have to go and put on my bathing suit to help out our littlest swimmers at their guppy meet this morning at the Riverwalk pool. Also trying to get my two teens out of bed to help out. So far not very successful.
